Maa Ghanteswari Temple is situated in the Sambalpur district of Odisha. It is located near Chiplima which is approximately 33KM from NH 6. It is called as one of the holiest and excellent places in Sambalpur

As per the name Ghanteswari, the bells (Chimes) are everywhere. Every individual offers chimes to the goddess, after fulfillment of their desires. A very large number of travelers visit this place every day from all over the state.

 It is located on the fringes of Mahanadi River. It is also known as “Lighthouse without Light”, which was built by the sailors, from which they get warning against heavy winds. This place lies around with a large number of small bells. 

Ghanteswari Scenery

Here at Maa Ghanteswari, a lovely dam is situated here called Chiplima Dam. It is well known for its height which is 24.38 meters tackled for producing power.

Three months from September to March each year is considered as the best time to visit Sambalpur as well as Ghanteswari Temple. The weather is quite enjoyable at that time for sight view.
