Khandadhar Waterfall is located at Nandapani, Banaigarh which is in the Sundergarh District. It is known as one of the highest waterfalls in India. Khandadhar Waterfall is 104 km distance from Rourkela and 132km from Keonjhar.
The waterfall is a sword-shaped and plunges from a height of 800ft (244 Meters). This waterfall looks like a sharp sword, that’s why it is named as Khandadhar. (“Khanda” Means Sword and “Dhara” means Flow of water).

The goddess consumed in that area. She consumed soil particles, trees, leaves, etc. Then the Pauri Bhuiya tribe place her on a rock, which she ate as well, which created a deep hole through which the waterfall came out. Through this, they found water in that area. In this way, they found Goddess Khanda Kumari, who was the protector of their land.
