Indravati Dam is a gravity dam that is on the Indravati River. Indravati river is a part of the river Godavari. Indravati dam is located 30 km from Nabarangpur district of Odisha. This dam is constructed on the Indravati River, it is known as the largest power producing dam in the eastern region of the country which is 600 MW. 

This dam has a picturesque surrounding which is a worth watch. That’s why this is one of the leading picnic spots for all tourists. Travelers come here every day with a large number to spend some quality time with mother nature.

The height of the dam is 45 m (148 ft) and the length is 539 m (5801 ft). In 1947 Late Maharaja PK Deo had imagined this project. The main purpose of this dam was Hydroelectricity and Irrigation. This dam was completed by the state Govt. of Odisha in 1996.
